Opportunities are popping up all over the place!
I get to be in Arsenic & Old Lace, and doing theatre is something I've been wanting to go back to for years...
And now I am shooting a friend's wedding! I've done photography for a while but haven't had the chance to do a wedding and while they don't have a lot of money (hence the hiring of me), I will get paid in a gift card, which is awesome, and I will then have photos for a portfolio should I choose to go that route. It will also give me experience in PhotoShop.
I'm planning on doing portraits between February - May to brush up on my skills (I haven't gotten anyone to model for me although I've had ideas for a year) and use PhotoShop so I will feel prepared, but I've already got a list of shots, bookmarked PhotoShop tutorials, and a Pinterest album -- this sort of creativity really fires me up.
What's next?? A telly audition? Magazine photo ops?
I kid. But these two opportunities are baby steps toward...what?
Hooray!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I would gladly model for you. I love having my picture taken. No use in being falsely modest about it; I adore being photographed.
PLEASE model for me!!! It is so hard to find someone that is willing to model, and I have a perfect idea for a photoshoot for you -- I wanted to make a portfolio of portraits inspired by famous paintings and I wanted to ask you (but probably never got around to it) if I could shoot you as The Mona Lisa (I found the perfect backdrop at The Pointe, weirdly enough). I will talk to you more about when/where we can shoot. :D
ReplyDeleteAlso -- I unashamedly *LOVE* to model. I may not like the end result but posing, putting on different outfits, and being in front of the camera? <3 it.
