I went to callbacks last night at 6 -- only to discover that I was cast as Aunt Martha, the very role I was hoping for! She doesn't have as many (or as many funny) lines as Aunt Abbey, but she does have the LAST line which is the riotous ending (beginning) that always makes me cover my mouth in mock horror. The girls are at it again!
So that's awesome. I've got my script and have been reading through it - rehearsals start Monday night and I am STOKED! We are doing a cold read through. I should get an e-mail about whether we can actually do the play...we needed another two guys so I'm hopeful she got to cast a few more later last night.
I sent a letter and drawing to my friend Elise yesterday, and didn't get a picture of the drawing but snapped a photo of the materials used for the outside.
Today I'm making postcards and am going to send one to my friend Rebekah, who was on my hall freshman year and then transferred out. She is now married and living in PA and I'm so glad to have caught back up with her.
I've also got a new address for my friend Lydia and we have been messaging each other on Facebook -- she's going through a rough time and I can relate, so maybe I can be a listening ear. I had lost contact with her last year and it's encouraging to be able to find her and be able to talk to her again.
And for those of you who read my blog, I am making more than one postcard, so it is likely you'll be receiving something from me this month. ;) Now that I know the correct size and what all I can do with postcards, I'm going to be having a lot more fun mailing things -- it is so easy to make a postcard as opposed to sitting down and writing a four-page note. (Although those are really the best)
Anyway. Pictures to follow.
Hope you all have a good weekend -- we're in North Carolina for a SuperBowl party -- I plan on reading my play, reading my Kindle, and making collages. And possibly doing some embroidery.
HARRY POTTER EMBROIDERY!
