Stu and I like going out to eat at least once a week. It's a time when we can go out, spend a few hours together outside the house/workplace and just chill. We don't, however, have $500 in our restaurant budget every month. So, I thought I'd share where we like to go - 5 places where you can both eat for under $10 - as in, $5 or less apiece.
#1: Moe's - tacos, burritos, fajitas, oh my! Their Monday night special is any burrito + a drink for $5. However, if you get a quesadilla or a taco, they're usually around $3. Stu likes the Homewrecker Burrito while I go for the Overachiever Taco. We spend $8.75.
#2: Chik-Fil-A - Tuesdays and Thursdays, the Chik-Fil-A on Broad River Road has some sweet specials, such as on Tuesday nights - free kid's meal w/ any adult meal...$7 total. Or, on Thursdays, there's a deal where you buy a large fry and drink and get a sandwich or 8 piece nugget box free. $7.50 total. And really, who doesn't like Chik-Fil-A?!
#3: A new favorite, the grocery store TARGET - that's right! While they may have some expensive items, there are quite a few that are dirt cheap at their cafe area, and organic, all natural, and healthy options are all available! They have soup, pizza, sandwiches [whole wheat, meat, cheese, and leaf lettuce] or organic macaroni for $3, all-beef franks for $2.50 [with a drink], or salads for $4. They also have kid's meals w/ Icees for $2.50 or less. A meal for two costs around $7.
#4: Wendy's - because their $1 menu ROCKS - baked potato, chili, or Caesar side salad [complete with bacon, parmesan cheese and croutons] for around $1, and five piece nugget boxes for the same price. Also, their Junior Bacon Cheeseburger is tasty. Total amount of money spent: $8.
#5: Sonic - they now have a $1 menu! I recommend the Chili Cheese Coney [I can eat an ex-long in under 2 minutes] or the Chili Frito Wrap - both very inexpensive and exceptionally delicious...total cost comes to around $9.
Enjoy! Where do you like to eat?
