So, usually, after my drawing capabilities wear off I get disgruntled and have to wait around on the next inspiration/bout of illness. :P I try to sketch for a day or two and then get aggravated when my style becomes more immature and cartoonish and call it quits. HOWEVER
I learned yesterday that I might have an easier time drawing when I'm sick, BUT I CAN STILL DRAW WHEN I'M BETTER. Albeit only sometimes and under the right circumstances and if I have enough time.
For example: I've been working on a small sketch for a few days...I found some music to listen to and hunkered down, completing the drawing in an hour or so.
Also, I just began another sketch [last night] - I'm halfway through the sketch and haven't even began coloring.
So - some days are just "off" days, some days are just best days [during illness] and some days...just take more work. Good to know.
Other tidbits:
If you like quirky, offbeat indie films - [which indie films DON'T match that description?!? But I mean quirky in a weird idea and offbeat as in a little shocking] try the movie "Fido" - it's a Canadian film about a little boy who makes a pet out of the family zombie servant. Yeah. It's crazy. And awesome. Billy Connelly, Carrie-Anne Moss [Trinity from the Matrix] and Tim Blake Nelson are all main characters.
I'm loving this new diet. Fresh veggies and white meat agree with me. I've sauteed onions, peppers, and shrimp; made a dip with sour cream and dill; served up ranch and herb pork chops with green beans, and concocted a lovely yummy sandwich of bacon, guacamole and sharp cheddar cheese [on whole grain bread]. AMAZING! So much fresh food...love love love it. Now I just need to add on exercise.
My brother and I are working on racing each other to 10,000 pages. In a week. He's bored and I want to catch up on my reading list so I told him I'd go to the library and then we would see who could reach 10,000 pages in a week. Here's hoping I WIN because there's a prize!!! :) [though I don't know what it is yet...]
My birthday is coming up...I'll be 22 this year but right now it seems like I'm ageless. In between a teen and an adult, I haven't exactly found where I fit yet. Lots of growing to do and thankfully, it's alongside my hubby, the best friend and dearest love one could hope for. :)
Also...pray for us! We are considering buying a house! With the new $8,000 tax break that doesn't have to be paid back, we could potentially use it for closing costs and a few monthly payments for a new house! We found one nearby that we like, it's been newly renovated, and we are looking at it tonight. So pray! We would like to move in a few months...October, perhaps?
Love to all.
