The goal I've set for myself in revisions is to complete one rough draft a month on Violet's Monster: Volume I. That means by summertime, I'll be in the 7th revision of the book...and hopefully, by that point, I can start looking around for agents.
So, this is the first month back in the revisions process. It's going to go by so fast! I have decided that this time, I'm going to go through it myself, backwards. I started with the last chapter [14?] and ended up finishing 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, & 14 yesterday. By finishing I mean reading through and making notes in my notebook and placing sticky notes or scrawls all over the manuscript. I'm still waiting on some friends' notes but for right now I'm going to go through it myself and see what I need to work on.
I've already got a general idea of what I need to do to make this rough draft better, so hopefully if I know that ahead of time, I'll be able to do well on this and not have to do so many revisions!
Wish me luck...
