THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS

I graduate on Saturday!! HUZZAH!!!

The last four years seem blurry. I don't remember much of it, honestly. Glad to be moving on from this part of my life onto other things...though I WILL miss the crazy schedule. I like having afternoons or mornings off.

Things I will miss:

1. My adviser and favorite faculty: Dr. Dan, Dr. Blewett, Dr. Crutchfield, Dr. Lewis
2. COMM Classes
3. Getting package slips in the mail
4. Friends who are now dispersing all over the planet
5. Watching Hulu during lunch breaks
6. My Harry Potter FDS

Things I will NOT miss:

1. FEDs
2. Stress from homework
3. Packing up every semester
4. Cafeteria food
5. being single

My mom, parents-in-law, grandparents, my youngest brother and my husband will all be at my graduation on Saturday. I think the ceremony is silly - I wish I had an excuse to skip it. I know it means a lot to the older generation, but seriously? I worked d*****d hard for that diploma, I just want it to come in the mail so I can frame it without the silliness of perhaps tripping on my robe or a cheesy graduation photo with a president that weirds me out. Just sayin'.

So...this week is going to be really slow. I have 1 exam on Friday...paperwork to wrap up...and that's it. My whole student career will be over. For the moment. If I ever find a school like in the movie Accepted, I'll go there and study Harry Potter and Joss Whedon and Children's Lit. And then write my own stuff. :) Anyway. Hope this week goes a lot faster than anticipated.

I'm learning to play Magic [card game with monsters/spells] - I haven't found a deck that quite fits me yet - it's weird, but each deck works differently for different people. I don't play a white/black deck too well, or a green/white/red deck. Ugh. No way. I like the concept of a blue deck but I don't play it well. I can do well with a black or black/blue deck. Weird. It's a really fun game. I'm excited about getting to build my own deck (with help from Michael, of course).

We're watching season 2 of X-Files right now, along with season 4 of Buffy. I love being able to come home and just veg out and watch something - except I get all caught up in whatever's happening to Scully and Mulder or the Scooby Gang that I don't really "veg"...:P Haha. But I love these two shows. I'm hoping if I watch Buffy alot I will be able to learn wittier dialogue. :)

That's all for now. Sorry it's boring. Maybe I'll post the poem I wrote a few days ago - I modeled it after an Emily Dickinson poem [subject/style wise] and posted it on facebook. You can search my notes if you're friends w/ Kate Sape [me, not-so-incognito - b/c of privacy issues.]

Have a lovely evening!
