Mini Mini Mini

So last night I took a break from working on my dollhouse and instead started making accessories for it. What fun! I used stuff I'd been collecting - scrap wood, buttons, paper, and pictures cut from magazines...I don't have pictures on the computer yet but here's a list of what I made:

1. 2 kleenex boxes - yup! I found a pattern and created two little boxes and then stuck little pieces of tissue in them.

2. 1 Stool - there will be a set of four but it was getting late when I started making it...I just used a piece of scrap wood from the punch-outs for the dollhouse and then craft sticks for the legs. I'm trying to decide how to decorate the stools...

3. 2 magazines - I found mini covers of Country Living (in the magazine, at the beginning of an article) and cut out squares of magazine to make them into a little booklet. I didn't have a stapler so I sewed the magazines together w/ needle and thread. They are currently being squashed by two packages of clay so they won't be so spread-eagled.

4. "Modesty screen" - This was what started the mini-binge - I don't want a 'real' bathroom in the dollhouse - there's not really enough room for what I want! So I'm thinking a chamber pot will do...also, my doll (whenever she decides to tell me her name) will need a place to change. I used 2 more pieces of scrap wood, covered them in scrapbook paper, and then glued them at an angle...I then included a piece of craft stick down the middle to differentiate each side of the screen. I may go back and add some more details but again, it was late!

5. Potion bottles/perfume bottles - these will double whenever I need them to - I had a lot of extra big beads so I glued little beads on top for the corks/lids. Easiest thing in the world, but they look cool!

6. Boxed dinner - chicken. I made a little paper box and glued a picture of a chicken dinner on the front (it looks more real than it sounds).

It was so fun! I'm also working on curtains, a rug, and pictures for the house right now...I can't find my scrapbook paper for the kitchen floor but hopefully when I clean out our spare room I'll discover it somewhere...:p

I'll try to post up some pictures in a few days. :)
