Christians Invading the Culture?

So...I learned a ton of new stuff today...it all started when I was sifting through Miyazaki trivia and one of the dubbed voices was Frankie Jonas. I clicked on the name and it brought up a wiki of the Jonas Bros. I accordingly rolled my eyes and then got interested in reading because he's the youngest and not in the band. Then I discovered that they are, apparently, Evangelical Christians and not afraid about talking about their views keeping their purity until marriage (they all wear purity rings, by choice). That's a good thing to present to a group of tweens.

Then I started reading about Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus - also, purportedly, a Christian. I then found out that there are others, keeping their affiliations close to the vest, but still being known as believers.

"Wow, there are actually Christians in the media/culture!!!"

I was talking to Stu about it and he was like "Well...it'd be nice if we would get back into the artistic venue..."

I know, I know, Jos. Bros. & Hannah are really popular and not all that great when compared to others...but you know what? They are DEFINITELY impacting the culture. I mean, who doesn't know their names? Who doesn't know people who love their music? Who doesn't know someone who's just DYING to go to one of their concerts????

I would love it if there were great Christians who were at the forefront of science, history, art, media, literature etc., but...this is at least a step in the right direction.

Here's a list of the Christians that I researched today:

The Jonas Brothers - music
Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus - music/tv/movie
J.K. Rowling - literature
Ralph Winter - movie producer
Tom Shadyac - movie producer/director/comedian/writer
Scott Macintyre - contestant on American Idol
Tony Hale - actor
Justine Bateman - actress (sister of Jason Bateman)
Mel Gibson - actor/producer
