Building Time

Well...this is another dollhouse post. :)

I went to Wal-Mart last night with my ever-patient husband and shopped around for about an hour for primer, stain, craft sticks, paintbrushes, masking tape, dowels (square), paints, sandpaper, etc...but sadly it is too cold and I have no time to do anything for my dollhouse yet. :(

BUT

I do have plans...

1. I got craft sticks and stain (a nice red mahogany) for the floors, which I can do this weekend...

2. Primer to get the outside of my house ready for painting/spackling/stoning

3. Copper paint for the corrugated cardboard that will become the roof

4. and dowels for beams and supports for the two rooms I've 'bashed' to the original dollhouse.

This really IS exciting...my little house is coming together...as long as our heat starts working and I can get my homework done so I have time to sit and build!!!

It's so neat to be able to do all this in miniature...I love building things/making things that are small...it's inspiring to be able to create.

I really love doing this. Maybe I can make it into a job...although maybe that would take all the fun out of it...:) Maybe. That might be a stretch. Creating is always fun.
