I would read the back first; it could be about anything, considering rock and roll's involved ;-). But the cover would make me pick it up and see what's written on the back. :-D
I'm thinking it's a Middle Grade or YA fiction about a girl who dyes her hair and consequently decides to make an attempt at being a local celebrity in her small town. That's where I am right now, anyway. It's part love-story, part humor, part real-life, and part high-school.
