Finished reading Steve Martin's "Born Standing Up: A Comic's Life" which read more like a cautionary tale than anything else...dipping into Carol Burnett's "This Time Together," which is already more fun and heart-warming.
I've also got:
Ann Rice's "Called Out of Darkness"
Kristin Chenoweth's "A Little Bit Wicked"
Molly Ringwald's "Getting the Pretty Back"
And I read Portia De Rossi's "Unbearable Lightness: A Story of Loss and Gain".
And then, of course, I got "The War for Late Night" (about Conan O'Brien/Jay Leno) and an "Uncensored History of SNL".
So between those and the cookbooks I got this week...I am swamped with tales of fame and food.
It's a nice mix so far. :P
Oooh, I want to read the Carol Burnett one. I love her. Haven't seen her show in years though :(
ReplyDeleteI absolutely ADORE her - I grew up watching reruns of her show and I always thought it would be fun to have that kind of a show...I guess it ran from the 60's-70's? I bet it is on some TV station that I don't have...:P The book's called This Time Together if you want to get it from the library - I'm probably going to return it on Sunday.
